Welcome to Bodyluxe by Shawna. I've been a big fan of bath and body products for a long time, but not a big fan of the extortionate prices that the mall-driven society is willing to pay. My goal is to provide a high-quality, handmade product that the mall stores would be envious of.
My soaps, lotions and pampering products are completely handmade by myself, Shawna, in my very own kitchen from all natural supplies. The art of soaping is a wonderful creative outlet - especially since I can't even draw a stick figure without major help!
I have formulated my recipes with careful research put into all natural oils and their properties. I use shea butter, olive oil, canola oil, lard, vegetable shortening and castor oils in my handmade cold process soaps, along with other natural additives such as oatmeal, goat's milk, honey and various clays where appropriate. The oils in my lotions vary by lotion type, but in my oil aresenal are many common oils such as avocado, rice bran, grapeseed, and apricot kernel, natural butters such as avocado, mango, shea and cocoa butters, and several specialty oils.
Whether you are buying pampering products for yourself (and who doesn't need a little indulging from time to time?) or as gifts, you can rest assured knowing you are receiving a top-quality item, handmade from the heart by yours truly.
